What is Jun Fan?

Jun Fan, otherwise known as Jeet Kune Do (JKD), founded by Bruce Lee,

is an art open to interpretation or expression. Bruce taught exercises that were

meant to develop your skills and ideas/concepts to be used in conjunction with your

skills and body structure to "express" your style. All JKD students are taught the

four ranges of fighting: Kicking, Punching, Trapping, and Grappling, to form a basis

for their style and so they can experience many possibilities.

Jun Fan encourages individual empowerment and self expression in order to

take charge of our own lives to face challenging forces in our society today. It can

be a wonderful way for a child to gain physical confidence, self-esteem and skills.

Do not consider Jun Fan as a new or different style of martial arts. Bruce Lee

did not wish for people to be locked into 'this style' or 'that style', but instead, to

express one's self through the beauty and combination of the many styles of martial arts.
